From the Wonnhalde bus stop, this quiet, natural route begins with a gentle transition out of everyday life. As soon as you cross the road and take the short climb up the embankment, the view opens up far across the meadows - and with it comes a feeling of space and tranquillity. Even here it is worth pausing for a moment, deepening your breath and letting your gaze wander while your thoughts slowly come to rest.
With every step you take along the embankment, you are accompanied by the gentle babbling of a stream on one side and the greenery unfolding in different layers on the other. The atmosphere changes as you near the forest house (WaldHaus) in Freiburg: the path becomes shadier, the forest thicker, the air cooler and clearer. Small wooden bridges span the stream, inviting you to stop for a moment, listen to the water and consciously take in the moment.
The path continues along the edge of the forest until you finally reach the crossing to the road. After crossing the road, the walk continues quietly until you turn into the Wiesenweg road via the Wiesenweg bus stop. From here, the path continues in the direction of St. Lioba Monastery, where the surroundings open up again and a vast field of flowers welcomes you with colors, scents and vibrant diversity. Optionally, the monastery garden - if open - invites you to immerse yourself even deeper in this peaceful atmosphere. Step by step, a path is created that not only leads you through the landscape, but also invites you to slow down, to see and hear more consciously and to arrive fully in the moment.
