Experience literature and art in Freiburg

BFF is not only the abbreviation for the young Freiburg platform for contemporary art, but also a message. The three letters are the code for "best friends forever" - and that is exactly what the curators of the Biennale have in mind: Freiburg and young art are best friends. The Biennale für Freiburg took place for the first time in 2021. 
The idea behind it: Artists from outside the city work together with the local creative scene to develop formats and works that are made for Freiburg. The city thus becomes an art laboratory and allows contemporary art to be experienced in places where you would not expect it. This can be experienced every two years in the summer, curated by changing experts under a different theme each time.
The third Biennale in 2025 offers a varied programme under a motto that suits Freiburg: "Happy place".
