Zwei Burgen Gravel-Runde

The Zwei Burgen Gravel-Runde first leads out of Freiburg via the Mooswald forest and the fields near Gundelfingen and Vörstetten. After crossing the Elz, the first ascent to the ruins of Hochburg Castle near Emmendingen is slow and gentle. From there, after a short descent with gradients of up to 10%, the route climbs up the Schlechtberg between Emmendingen and the Elz valley.

The next 5 km are downhill again to Waldkirch below Kastelburg Castle. A detour with a few meters of ascent to the castle is worthwhile. The route finally leads back to Freiburg via the fields near Denzlingen and Gundelfingen.
