Soundcity Festival Freiburg

#SOUNDCITYFREIBURG is a nonprofit, annual festival celebrating subculture, club culture, and pop culture. The decentralized program throughout the city of Freiburg combines parties, street art, film, dance, exhibitions, nightlife, DJ sets, guided tours, readings, concerts, workshops, performances, urban art, raves, and talks.

Through the interdisciplinary festival soundcity, subculture urban media & kulturaggregat e.V. bring the diversity of Freiburg’s subculture, club, and pop culture to life. The focus is on regional artists, cultural and creative professionals, collectives, cultural venues, and event spaces. Low-barrier access, cultural education, and sustainable networking come together here with remembrance culture, an assessment of the current state of affairs, and visions for the future. The goal: to strengthen the local scene and position culture and music as more relevant factors in Freiburg’s identity.

The soundcity Freiburg Festival is supported by the City of Freiburg’s Office of Culture and the federal program “Sustainable City Centers and Hubs” of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development, and Construction.
