You are cordially invited to the DGP Congress 2026 in Freiburg - on the geographical border with France and Switzerland.

Palliative care is always on the border: the limits of medical possibilities, the limits of personal burdens, the limits of social debates.

What does it mean to live in and with these boundaries? Can we and do we want to change boundaries? How can current research findings, innovative forms of care and changes in society's understanding of values provide impetus to deal constructively with boundaries: in the field of tension between acceptance and overcoming - for the benefit of patients and their relatives - in harmony with our needs and boundaries as caregivers?
