La Reine The road bike festival exclusively for women

LA REINE is a road bike marathon exclusively for women. The event has been held in Switzerland since 2021 and will come to Germany for the second time on Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26, 2026.

LA REINE is a blend of recreational sports, leisure, and lifestyle. At its core is a long ride starting at the old synagogue square and ending at the historical merchants' hall in downtown Freiburg, with a route through idyllic roads in the Markgräflerland and Kaiserstuhl wine regions (choose between 170 or 100 km). In addition, several workshops and socializing opportunities will be offered.

A highlight is the several refreshment stations along the route featuring top-quality regional food and drinks. The focus is on enjoyment and the joy of road cycling, but those with athletic ambitions can compete in the optional racing category—though timing is not recorded from start to finish but only on certain sections of the route, so that the fun isn’t neglected here either. Around 500 participants are expected.
