Gasthaus zum Raben

In the idyllic village of Horben, just a few minutes from Freiburg im Breisgau, you will find the traditional Gasthaus zum Raben - a historic house dating back to the 17th century. Around twenty years ago, the building was renovated with great attention to detail and today combines authentic Black Forest charm with a warm and elegant atmosphere.

Since 2024, the inn has been run by a French couple who bring their passion for French hospitality and gastronomy to the establishment.

The French gourmet restaurant offers a carte blanche menu in 4 or 6 courses with seasonal and creative cuisine. The offer is complemented by a French bistro with selected à la carte dishes (bouillabaisse, fillet of beef...) in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere.

For guests who want to enjoy the evening in peace and quiet, there are also five comfortable guest rooms available - ideal for not having to drive after dinner and a good glass of wine and to experience the peace and quiet of the Black Forest.

The Gasthaus zum Raben is easily accessible by public transport: From Freiburg im Breisgau city center, it takes around 25 minutes to get to Horben on streetcar line 2 and then bus 21. The bus stop "Rathaus Horben" is only 100 meters away from the inn. The last bus back to Freiburg leaves at 11:30 pm, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing evening without a car.
