Forest Science Conference 2025 at the University campus Freiburg
FowiTa is the largest conference in the field of forest sciences in the German-speaking world. This year, it will take place from September 29 to October 2 at the University campus Freiburg. Under the motto "Forest - New - Thinking", new scientific and social perspectives on forest ecosystems, nature conservation, biodiversity, forest management and forestry operations will be discussed.
The theme of this year's conference is "Forest - New - Thinking". The forests of the future will no longer be able to fulfill the diverse services we expect from them - such as storing water and carbon, timber production or as a recreational area - in the same way. We therefore need new scientific and social perspectives on forest ecosystems, nature conservation and biodiversity, forest management and forest operations.
Media representatives and interested members of the public are cordially invited to attend selected items on the conference program.
