Future-Proofing Your Home: Age-Appropriate Living, Renovations, and Smart Renting
Many people want to continue living in their familiar home as they age. To ensure that your home continues to meet your needs at every stage of life, it’s worth thinking about potential changes early on: Can the living space be downsized, remodeled, or used differently? What financial options are available? And what should you keep in mind if you decide to rent out your home?
At the event “Future-Proofing Your Home: Age-Appropriate Living, Remodeling, and Renting Out the Right Way,” you’ll get an overview of options, advisory services, and practical solutions for the next phase of your life. Experts will demonstrate how to successfully downsize within your own home, what support is available for renovations, and what to keep in mind when renting out a unit.
A homeowner from northern Freiburg will also share her own experiences with converting her home and offer insights into the path toward a sustainable living solution.
Following the keynote presentations, you’ll have the opportunity to ask the speakers individual questions directly.
This free informational event is aimed at seniors and anyone who would like to start planning for housing in later life—whether moving into a new home or renovating their current one.
