2026 Hugo Häring Award
Exhibition of Award-Winning and Submitted Construction Projects
Since 1969, the Baden-Württemberg Regional Association of the Association of German Architects (BDA) has awarded the Hugo Häring Prize every three years to building owners and architects for their collaborative work on exemplary buildings. It is considered the most prestigious award for architecture in Baden-Württemberg.
The Hugo Häring Prize is a two-stage process. In the first stage, the “Hugo Häring Award” is presented by the 15 district groups of the Baden-Württemberg Regional Association.
This year, the Freiburg-Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district group received 44 submissions demonstrating a high level of planning and design.
All projects were completed in the region over the past five years and will be on display in the exhibition. Under the chairmanship of Heidelberg architect Robert Piotrowski, the five-member jury selected eleven projects for recognition. The award recognizes the joint efforts of building owners, architects, and craftsmen in bringing exemplary structures to life.
The award winners and all submitted projects will be on display in the Meckelhalle of the Sparkassen FinanzZentrum Freiburg from September 24 to October 16, 2026, during regular business hours.
