This eventful circular trail takes you past the Schlossberg (castle hill) vineyards and Cannon Square up to Ludwigshöhe, the former site of the Burghalden castle.
Along the way, there are numerous information boards about the fortress and natural history of the Schlossberg (castle hill) as well as adventure stations, including a marble run for children.
The tour starts at the Schwabentorsteg and first leads past the Greiffenegg-Schlössle (1) to the Cannon Square (2) and the Ludwigshöhe above. The trail then follows a narrow path slightly above the forest path to the so-called "Little" Cannon Square (3), where there is a ball track for children. From here, the trail descends again in narrow serpentines along the Mez'schen Gärten (4), a former garden and park - first through dense forest and finally past the vines of the Schlossberg (castle hill), before the circular tour ends back at the starting point.
