During the winter months, the Käsestube Freiburg brings Switzerland’s time-honored cheese culture to Freiburg as a seasonal pop-up concept. At Café Simon & Paul in the Wiehre neighborhood, the focus is on multi-course menus centered around cheese fondue and raclette.
Visitors can choose from various fondue options made with Swiss raw-milk cheese from the Bernese Alps or classic raclette served in different flavors. The menu is complemented by seasonal appetizers, salads, and desserts. Vegan, vegetarian, and lactose-free options are also available upon request.
A carefully curated wine list featuring natural wines from the region as well as from renowned European wine-growing regions complements the culinary offerings.
The pop-up restaurant is located on Nägeleseestraße in the Wiehre district of Freiburg and combines wintery coziness with a pleasure-oriented dining concept. Due to its seasonal nature and limited seating, early reservations are recommended.
