After-Work Tour: Mothers of Kendeng

Ethnologist Deborah Schlecht leads a tour through the “Mothers of Kendeng” art installation—conceived by Dewi Candraningrum—at the Museum Natur und Mensch (Natural History Museum). During the tour, she draws connections between the portraits of women and the local population’s resistance to mineral extraction in the Kendeng Mountains on Java. The tour is part of the exhibition “Voll unfair.” The event ticket costs 2.50 euros, plus a 5-euro admission fee (reduced rate: 3 euros). Event and admission tickets are available in the online shop and at the museum ticket office.

Admission is free for those under 27, members of the Friends of the Museum, holders of a Freiburg Pass, Family Card, or Museums-Pass-Musées.
