Yoga Class - The Heart of Yoga
"The Heart of Yoga" Course — Classical Hatha Yoga According to Krishnamacharya/Whitwell
Beginners & Intermediate
A classical Hatha Yoga practice guided entirely by the breath. Through constant connection with the breath, a special inner space is created. The practice is dynamic, following the Vinyasa-Krama principle—beginning with simple movements that are both strengthening and meditative. It is complemented by pranayama (yogic breath control) and meditation.
I share this practice just as I learned it myself from Mark Whitwell, a direct student of Krishnamacharya, and Hridaya Meditation, as taught by Sahajanand.
For all age groups, beginners, and intermediate students.
Reimbursement may be available through public health insurance as a preventive health course.
Instructor: Eva Makkos has been meditating since 1987 and practicing yoga since 1992—for her, the two are one and the same path. She has studied in all major authentic yoga traditions, conducted scientific research on yoga, and has been teaching yoga since 2011.
This course is for anyone who desires a deep connection with themselves and wishes to gain a multifaceted insight into yoga, complete with wonderful inspiration for everyday life.
