A historic winery near Freiburg: premium wines, tastings, and regional culinary delights in the heart of the Markgräflerland region.
The Ebringen Winery combines centuries-old winemaking traditions with modern standards of quality and is one of the most distinctive destinations for wine lovers south of Freiburg. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Markgräflerland region, the estate produces wines with a distinctive character—shaped by sunny south- and west-facing slopes and a unique microclimate on the edge of the Black Forest.
The history of viticulture in Ebringen dates back to the year 716 A.D., making the village one of the oldest wine-growing communities in the region. Today, the Winzerhof carries on this tradition: About 36 winemaking families work together to produce high-quality wines—ranging from fresh white wines and elegant rosés to full-bodied reds and fine Spätlese vintages.
A particular highlight for visitors is the opportunity to experience the wine right on site. In the wine shop, visitors can taste and purchase the wines, while guided tastings offer fascinating insights into viticulture, terroir, and cellar work. In addition to the enjoyment of the wine, the focus is also on meeting others and exchanging ideas: visitors get to experience the philosophy and passion of the local winemakers firsthand.
The surrounding area also makes a visit worthwhile: the vineyards around Ebringen are perfect for strolls, hikes, or relaxing evenings watching the sunset. This makes the Winzerhof not only a destination for wine lovers but also an ideal starting point for culinary and nature experiences in the region.
Overall, the Ebringen Winery offers an authentic, regionally inspired experience—a blend of tradition, quality, and personal interaction that brings the Markgräflerland to life in a special way.
