All about timber harvesting with horses and machines

On its traditional autumnal action day for the whole family, the forest house (WaldHaus) shows not only historical logging work with horses but also a modern timber harvesting machine in action. The harvester alongside Ardennes cold-blooded horses, Black Forest foxes and other snorting four-legged colleagues: one is as exciting as the other. In addition to information stands on hunting, mushrooms, moors and waters or the city forest arboretum, there will also be traditional wood crafts on display. In the green wood workshop and in the forest, young and old alike can get hands-on with drawing or carving knives or even with the large two-man saw.
