Tropical Diversity on Our Plates
The Museum Natur und Mensch (Natural History Museum) and the University campus Freiburg Botanic Garden invite interested visitors to take a tour of the Tropical House and the French Guiana House. Biologist and garden curator Friederike Gallenmüller will provide fascinating insights into the diversity of tropical crops. Bananas, cacao, and other crops will transport participants to their tropical habitats and shed light on the challenges and issues surrounding agriculture, consumption, and sustainability. The event is part of the exhibition “Totally Unfair!” A free event ticket is required to attend. It is available in the online shop and at the museum ticket office.
The meeting point is the Botanic Garden, at the entrance to the display greenhouses, Schänzlestraße 1, 79104 Freiburg.
