Paula Bilá carries the south in her voice. Deeply rooted in the flamenco of her Andalusian homeland, each of her phrases resonates with the warmth of the Mediterranean, the shimmering of dusty squares and the irrepressible power of centuries-old tradition.
In recent years, she has broadened her horizons and turned to the great Latin American song treasures of the 20th century: Boleros full of longing, melodies between bittersweet melancholy and exuberant lust for life, stories of love, loss and hope - timeless and yet burningly topical.
At her side is the quartet of guitarist Linus Eppinger - The LEANING IN Underground. With stylistic elegance, subtle irony and a palpable joy of playing, the band has long since made a name for itself beyond the boundaries of the jazz scene. Together they open up a warm, breathing sound space in which flamenco fire meets Latin jazz, in which tradition and modernity flow effortlessly into one another - open, lively, improvising.
The result is an intimate yet powerful blend of bolero, Latin jazz and improvisational freedom: passionate, atmospheric music that touches, carries you away - and invites you to dream and dance in equal measure.
Their second joint album
"La Vuelta En Español Vol.2" will be released in March 2026 - a musical declaration of love to the diversity and emotional depth of popular Latin American music of the 20th century. Personal, intense and full of soul.
