Saturday University: World Tourism Champion France

Structures, developments and special features of tourism in our neighboring country Our neighbor France has significant differences in tourism compared to Germany. Although both countries call themselves "tourism world champions", they refer to different "disciplines" in tourism. Therefore, the lecture focuses on the "French specialties" of tourism and analyzes its structures, taking into account the recent history of tourism. This will be illustrated using specific examples from our neighboring country, including its overseas territories. Overall, it becomes clear that France is one of the most important global players in international tourism, but that national tourism is just as important.
