PERSONAS

PERSONAS is a guest performance by choreographer Maya Carroll and composer Roy Carroll (both based in Berlin), who collaborate under their artistic name “The Instrument.” Their experimental approach is characterized by an uncompromising sensuality. “The Instrument” collaborates closely with various artists, pursuing an approach rooted in a clear aesthetic of movement and sound that permeates all aspects of the work—set design, lighting design, graphic design, and visual art.

Sound and movement meet in a rhythmic, intimate dialogue—like lovers—sensual and existential. Diversity emerges from this encounter, as every layer of sound and every lighting effect in the space invites something new. PERSONAS is both personal and universal. Drawing on beauty and absurdity, the performance unfolds an intuitive play of the imagination.
