Music in Haslach
The Cultural Affairs Office’s annual event, “Music in the Neighborhood,” will take place this year in Freiburg-Haslach.
From 1:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., amateur musicians will perform free outdoor concerts.
Brass band music or Brazilian drums, choral singing from Russia or Japan, Irish folk or traditional Israeli music, indie pop or hard rock—you’ll be spoiled for choice, as these are just a few of the many musical styles that will fill the Freiburg neighborhood of Haslach with sound this Sunday afternoon, all at the same time on seven different stages. A particularly large group of amateur musicians even comes directly from Haslach; they’ll all showcase the full musical diversity of their neighborhood.
In case of rain, each venue will host a slightly scaled-down indoor version at the same location. The only exception is the Schildacker development area: since there’s no roof, the event will take place in the foyer of the Morat-Hallen (a 5-minute walk) if it rains.
Come on by—bring your friends and family! Amateur musicians from Freiburg are playing for free—for you and everyone else! Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at each venue.
