Malin Widén: On the island - Wild Friday with the world's largest Kamishibai (from 4 years)

Grandma lives on an island, far out at sea. When you visit her, there is so much to discover - whether it's the seagulls in the sky, the fish under the water or the giant trees in the garden, it never gets boring. If only the nights weren't full of spooky noises. There's only one thing to do: go on an exploratory walk with Grandma to get to the bottom of the mysterious sounds. In her debut "On the Island" (Kunstanstifter, 2021), Malin Widén captures a magical, summery island atmosphere with delicate watercolor tones.
Picture books stage simple stories full of humor, poetry and encouragement. Our picture book festival celebrates the versatile medium from June to October and invites children and families to discover the most beautiful book art in large format with the world's largest kamishibai.
