Intensive Course: Introduction to the Craft of Writing in the Criminal Courtroom

Set aside three hours and discover just how much joy writing fiction can bring—and that the path to creating your own story isn’t all that mysterious. In a small group of no more than eight participants, we’ll explore through writing how an idea becomes a story, experiment, and experience how language unfolds its magic. Using the short story as an example, you’ll gain an initial insight into the fundamentals of the craft of writing. Through short writing exercises, you’ll learn key techniques and be inspired to put your own ideas on paper. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, a love of language, and a willingness to experiment. And all of this takes place in the unique setting of the jury courtroom.
