For over 40 years, the Kommunale Kino Freiburg has been a permanent fixture in the cultural landscape. Away from the mainstream, it is dedicated to film art in all its facets: International arthouse films, documentaries, retrospectives and thematic film series characterize the program. Festivals, lectures and discussions make the cinema a lively meeting place. Whether classic films or contemporary works - the focus here is on artistic and social relevance. Centrally located in the old Wiehre railway station, the cinema offers an intimate ambience for special film experiences.
