10 Years of Akaishi Daiko Freiburg (Traditional Japanese Drums) – A Celebration Just Like in Japan
Ten years ago, Akaishi Daiko brought the powerful rhythms of Japanese taiko to Freiburg—and ever since, we’ve been making the “City of the Sun and Freiburg gutters” vibrate to the sound of Japanese drums.
We’re not just celebrating this anniversary—we’re turning it into an unforgettable experience: a colorful festival inspired by traditional Japanese matsuri.
Immerse yourself in a world full of energy, sound, and culture! Our festival opens its doors at 4:00 p.m.: Enjoy savory, sweet, and Japanese delicacies, discover lovingly designed booths, and let yourself be swept away just like at a real matsuri.
