Interior design for beginners: Corporate Space (weekend intensive course)

What makes a room cozy? Why does a forest give us a sense of security? Why don't we feel comfortable in most doctors' surgeries? And what does it take for us to enjoy sitting and lingering in a room? In this course, you will learn which design elements interact in a room, what room atmosphere means and how you can design or influence it. Under expert guidance, you will design a fictitious corporate space concept and learn the basics of interior design. As we go through a sprint design process, you will learn about floor plans, possible usage concepts, interior design concepts, color, materials, light and lighting effects. Using simple design tricks and after an introduction to perspective drawing, everyone will visualize their personal corporate space design by putting it on paper. - Please bring along: USB stick, drawing pad, pencils and colored pencils as available, snacks for the break, and - if desired - a digital device, e.g. smartphone, tablet or laptop for creative research purposes.
