Freiburg's 1st night watchman tour
For centuries, the night watchman Bertold VI has been wandering through the old town, keeping watch over the citizens' sleep. If necessary, he also uses his horn. So if anyone knows what's going on, it's him! About cathedrals and doormen, about ingenious originals and stupid students, about mysterious judgments of God and astonishing French entry regulations. Story(s) after the gates have closed: Well then - good night!
Meeting point: Schwabentorsteg staircase (at Schwabentor Gate)
Duration: approx. 90 minutes
Entertaining lantern-lit walk through Freiburg's old town (Oberlinden area, Münsterplatz into the Schneckenvorstadt district to the gates of "Paradise"). The focus is on exciting anecdotes from Freiburg's history. Partly funny, partly scary stories and exciting legends. Lots of interesting facts about the "night watchman and guardian Bertold VI" and the time-honored city of Freiburg.
Ideal for visitors to Freiburg, but also interesting for locals.
