Buchenbach Loop Hike: from Himmelreich via the “
” Wolfssteige to St. Peter *
Walking time: approx. 4–5 hours, distance: 12 km, elevation gain: 450 m, elevation loss: 190 m
Note: Steep ascent at the start; sure footing and a head for heights
are required!
Meeting point: 10:00 a.m. at Himmelreich Station (side near the residential area)
Departure: 9:40 a.m. from Freiburg Central Station on the S10 to Himmelreich -
Hiking guide will be waiting at the Himmelreich train station
Required: Sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing
(dress in layers), snacks and drinks for the hike
Refreshments: available at the end of the tour (restaurant/café in St. Peter)
