As part of its 175th anniversary celebrations, the Freiburg Volunteer Fire Department will have blue lights flashing across the old sandstone walls of Freiburg Cathedral, kicking off a spectacle that’s a rare treat to witness: The Freiburg Volunteer Fire Department will deploy to Münsterplatz with several units and an impressive fleet of vehicles—not for an emergency, but for a major demonstration. Right in the heart of the Old Town, the firefighters will give a first-hand demonstration of their skills, how they work together, and the equipment they use to save lives.
