Thomas Mace wrote in 1676 in his work Musick's Monument: "...we would never allow any performers to Overtop or Out-cry another by Loud Plays, but our great Care was, to have all Parts Equally heard." We want to focus on this and all other means of musical interplay in a relaxed atmosphere while working together on the 5-6-part English viol literature of the 16th/17th century - to make "Music Lovely and contentive." ( Th. Mace) The course is aimed at experienced consort players. There will be three teachers for this course: Gisela Eggers, Jochen Thesmann and Manfred Harras. -- Joint event with the IAM - Internationaler Arbeitskreis für Musik e.V., Bramsche-Malgarten. -- Please enquire about the costs for participation, accommodation and meals directly at the IAM, where you can also register, either by e-mail to info@iam-ev.de, by fax 05461.99 63 10, or via the website www.iam-ev.de.
