Frustration from Paris have been a fixture on the European post-punk circuit for over 20 years now - stylistically somewhere between British punk rock, post-punk, cold wave and garage, they are reminiscent of a cross between Joy Division, Killing Joke, Wire, The Fall and New Order with Wild Billy Childish and Crisis influences. The Parisian record store and label Born Bad is the band's hub and cradle - DIY culture meets the band's progressive roots in the world of French and European underground punk. The band's sensational live energy is undisputed.
Warm Exit from Brussels are a full 20 years younger - the quartet formed in 2022, but also see themselves rooted in the spirit of 70s punk/post-punk with interesting noise and kraut influences. Here, Wire, The Fall and Public Image Limited are the inspiration for dark and dynamic post-punk. With their dissonant riffs and expressive, haunting vocals, the four have quickly put themselves on the map of Belgian post-punk.
