Invitation: Food Rescue Day

On September 26, 2026, the old synagogue square in Freiburg and many other squares across Germany will be transformed into a striking exhibition of rescued food. See for yourself how much food is saved from the trash every day in Freiburg and other cities through food sharing, and discover how we can work together to promote food appreciation. All food is free to take home! Join us and send a strong message in support of responsible food consumption! Local and national media and political figures have been contacted and invited. Together, we can make a difference! In addition, a fun children’s program, dancing, and music will accompany and round out the day.
