Agnes, Waltraud, and Erika share a highly unusual passion: funerals. The elderly trio meets regularly for coffee and cake at the small café by the cemetery after the funerals. Just a harmless little ritual? Not quite. The three of them harbor more than just one dark secret.
When a mysterious stranger shows up at the cemetery one day, the trio becomes unsettled. Deeply alarmed, the ladies set out on a whimsical search for clues through their memories, aided by a bow-legged dog with a bloated belly and a resourceful waitress with nerves of steel.
