The next Comedy Night will take place on Thursday, 11.06.2026 at 20:00 at Jazzhaus. This time, the audience can look forward to funny artists known from comedy formats such as Quatsch Comedy Club, Night Wash and TV.
Among them are:
Olga Ugrinsky (ARD)
Katharina Block (Quatsch Comedy Club)
David Weber (piano cabaret)
Presented by: Julian Limberger
Comedy Night is characterized by a colourful mix of cabaret and comedy acts. The audience can also look forward to humorous and musical acts. In addition to well-known comedians from radio and television, the Jazzhaus in Freiburg also offers the opportunity to experience fresh newcomers. Freiburg presenter and comedian Julian Limberger will lead the evening in a spontaneous and humorous manner.
Katharina Block is a mother of five and a lawyer. For a very long time, she looked after her children full-time and files on the side. For four years now, she has been confidently performing as a stand-up comedienne on comedy stages all over Germany, delighting audiences with her style. She draws them right into her stories and fills not only the stage but the entire auditorium with her energy. She is approachable, genuine and captivating. In her first solo program, her topics range from nervous breakdowns on the playground, to outrageous come-ons on the dance floor, to the question of why women are constantly ashamed and men often have such a disturbing self-confidence. She combines her personal questions about her role as a mother and woman with her insights into our patriarchal society in an unconventional way. At the end of her story, she wants one thing above all: more mutual respect and more love. She has taken part in numerous comedy competitions. She is the winner of the Newcomer Award 2024 of the Mannheim Comedy Cup and was in the annual final of the talent competition "Hot Shot" of the Quatsch Comedy Club in 2025.
Olga Ugrinsky comes from Berlin and has a big mouth and an even bigger heart. She loves and enjoys observing bizarre everyday situations and quirky people. And you have to go somewhere with that! Olga tells stories from her life as a teacher, traveler and loud little woman in the patriarchy.
David Weber would never have dared to dream that one day he would be compared to Helge Schneider or Rainald Grebe. And it was the right decision: No one has yet compared David Weber to Helge Schneider. But Helge Schneider really is a mad dog, and David Weber is, if we may quote his parents: a disappointment. But you see, that's what happened: David Weber has been compared to Helge Schneider. He didn't come off well, but still!
Wait a minute, the clever ones among you will say, but who wrote this text? Wasn't it David Weber himself?
Yes, but you know, David Weber doesn't make music for the cleverest birds among you anyway, but for those with the biggest heart. For those who are still human. His neighbor recently moved out because he always had terrible crying fits when he heard David Weber sing and play the piano so emotionally, it was so sad and beautiful. But he can't understand the lyrics through the walls! And that's the crux of the matter, because Weber's work is characterized by the "abstraction and contextualization of completely irrelevant themes" (Weber 2019: "My life, a gift. Now I'm unpacking").
David Weber made his first appearances on poetry slam stages. In 2018, he was runner-up in the German-language competition in Zurich and won the Bielefeld Cabaret Prize in 2020. Shortly afterwards, he was compared to Rainald Grebe for the first time.
