Weingarten adventure playground

The Weingarten adventure playground is one of the most special leisure facilities in Freiburg: covering an area of around 11,000 m², it combines nature, adventure and educational activities to create a unique experience.Between hills, meadows and a small stream, children and young people will find a wide range of opportunities to try out their skills - whether climbing, building their own huts or playing in the wide open spaces. The offer is complemented by well-equipped workshops where craftsmanship skills such as blacksmithing, woodworking or creative design can be learned. A special highlight is the direct contact with animals: Horses, goats and chickens are an integral part of the grounds and also make the visit a close-to-nature experience. There are also activities such as baking in the wood-fired oven, gardening or working together - always voluntary and without a fixed schedule. The adventure playground deliberately does not see itself as a classic playground, but as an open space for experiences. Children are allowed to discover, experiment and take small risks on their own - accompanied by specialist educational staff. Thanks to its location in Dietenbachpark, the visit can be ideally combined with a walk or bike ride. For families and groups in particular, the site offers a varied alternative to traditional leisure activities.
