Johann Sebastian Bach is perhaps THE central figure in European music history. But he did not fall from the sky - for many decades, the Bachs were regarded as the leading masters in the truest sense of the word throughout the Saxon-Thuringian region. And even after his death, this flame was not extinguished immediately.
