Upcycling workshop: Loving clothes for longer - redesigning without patterns

There are many ways to create a sustainable closet! This workshop is all about repairing and altering clothes. All you need is a sewing machine and a bit of courage. If clothes no longer fit or our style has changed, there are plenty of ways to adapt them. This can be a shortened hem, a completely reworked coat or a sensible repurposing. The workshop topics in detail: Repairing seams by hand, sewing on buttons, mending holes with and without sewing. Redesigning garments: making them narrower, wider, shorter, longer, repurposing, redesigning. What are darts? How, with what and why do you gather a piece? Which materials can be combined and which cannot? When is a repair no longer worthwhile? - Please bring along: lots of clothes to swap/alter, fabric remnants, sewing thread, tape measure, accessories, snacks, drink. Sewing machines available, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine (in perfect technical condition!) with accessories and instruction booklet.
