"The shore area of a body of water, the transition between water and land, a border area where two worlds meet. Water and land. The water as separation, the water surface insurmountable. A place of longing, a place of memory. The shore areas that provide me with motifs time and again are often inaccessible, untouched, deep thickets and branches make them imponderable. In front of them is the surface of the water that separates us from the distant shore, with its never-repeating reflections and invisible depths." (Franziska Lopez)
