"Pure beauty is the common tone of Trygve Seim and Frode Haltli. There is something folk-song-like in this music - intersections where secular and sacred music meet to dance." This is what DIE ZEIT wrote in 2008 about the duo's debut album, entitled Yeraz. This statement is still true today, although the relationship between the saxophonist and the accordionist has become even more fluid and dreamlike in the meantime. On Our Time, Trygve and Frode exchange counterpoint-motivated sidelong glances, lyrical intensifications and explorations of musical texture with grace, eloquence and extreme nuance. In this way, they present a program of original compositions, improvisations and thoughtful reinterpretations of traditional songs from Ukraine and northern India. Recorded at the Himmelfahrtskirche in Munich in 2023 and produced by Manfred Eicher, Our Time indeed combines the tone of the saxophonist and the accordionist into a surreal and magical dance.

Zsófia Boros

Of all the guitarists, she is one of the most sensuous. Zsófia Boros' music seems to float, takes you along, opens doors and tells of sound spaces. On 'El ultimo aliento' she has devoted herself exclusively to compositions by fellow guitarists [...] Boros' confident playing ennobles them all. Mathias Duplessy (*1972) provides a beautiful introduction: long-lasting arpeggios, from which a romantic manner emerges with superimposed shining solo notes. In general, one has the feeling here that the Spanish guitar idiom is being resurrected. [...] All of this is played enchantingly - like a continuous narrative.
