Reisen bildet. This "ROUND trip" even more so. STOPPOK, the witty seismograph of our country, is celebrating its 70th birthday in 2026. That's too good not to be celebrated. On a "ROUND trip" through the Republic, on the country's live stages. STOPPOK's natural biotope and emotional territory since time immemorial. So into the jubilant tours with rough edges, with heart and brain, with a new album and old friends. The lyric-singing-guitar icon is obviously in a great birthday mood.
For 50 years now, STOPPOK has been the role model of an entire guild, a unique entertainer from the freshness department of vital songwriting, an independent spirit on "solid ground" who decided early on between "money or life", an outstanding lyricist full of wit, wisdom and pointed poetry. The weather prophet of changing values shines as a unique specimen. There can be no question of diminishing power and ideas. One indication: the last two albums, "Jubel" and "Teufelsküche", landed in the top five of the Media Control charts.
STOPPOK is a singer and musician, highly regarded by renowned colleagues, who combines a loose mouth with stupendous craftsmanship (he is a master of his string instruments with a highly personal touch). Fed by folk, blues and rock'n'roll, the STOPPOK sound develops energy and stubbornness. This idea of grooving emotional outbursts is carried by his well-rehearsed band: Reggie Worthy on bass, Leo Lazar on drums and Sebel on keys and guitar are therefore accompanying passengers on the "RUND journey" (October 21, 2026 to November 15). In keeping with a new song from the album to be released for the tour: "The longer we go together, the better we'll get along".
