After walking through a "wool feeling line" together, the participants will discover all the necessary equipment for raw wool preparation. We then get straight down to work and spin our own yarn together in a seated group. You will learn important basic knowledge such as S-Z spinning directions, twist ratios/twist angles, supported spinning, Andean twisting/2ply and reeling. These questions are also answered: What can be made from which fiber if it is to be socks, a sweater, or macramé, for example?
At the end of the workshop, you will be able to work independently on a hand spindle and take a small piece of your own yarn home with you and expand your knowledge based on further information from literature and videos. - The hand spindle will be provided on loan, as well as ready-made wool fibers.
