Sound of Smoke - Album release concert

Sound Of Smoke from Freiburg im Breisgau play a hip mix of soul, blues, stoner, psychedelic and krautrock with a proper vintage vibe. The quartet, which has been making the Freiburg concert scene unsafe for 10 years now and has long since earned itself a reputation both nationally and internationally, calls its sound Black Forest Psychedelic Soulrock. Stylistic devices and sounds from the golden era of rock 'n' roll, the 60s & 70s, form the foundation for the Sound Of Smoke: hypnotic & driving drums, thundering bass with AMPEG creaking in the style of a certain Lemmy K., an electric guitar in California twang paired with spherical echo & fuzz sounds, as well as oscillating synthesizers à la Hawkwind. Last but not least: lead singer Isabelle, who revives many a soul legend for a moment with her vocals, but always remains true to her own style. The show is rounded off by Isabelle's individual stage show, which is second to none and captivates the audience!

The five musicians from the legendary Black Forest have been making the country's stages unsafe since 2015. The line-up of lead singer (Alexander Emmert), guitarist (Attilio Ferrarese), keyboardist (Julian Weyand), bassist (Joey Ssymank) & drummer (Christian Berwick) has it all.
Stages often collapse under the powerful sound - sometimes as soft as Baby Wipes, sometimes as hard as reinforced concrete, carried by four heavenly voices. The result is a show in the tradition of Greek theater: the audience is carried live through the range of human emotions, culminating in the cathartic cleansing of the soul. Ecstasy guaranteed!
