Rock by the Creek
Rock am Bach is more than just a rock festival. Since the early 1990s, during the last week of summer vacation, a meadow by the stream in Kirchzarten has been transformed into a small festival world—with two stages, nightly fire shows, and an atmosphere that can only be found in the Dreisam Valley.
What makes it special: Rock am Bach is a nonprofit festival. It’s organized by the Autonome Jugendzentrum Kirchzarten e. V. and put together entirely by over 100 volunteers—from setup and the bar to the safety team.
In 2026, 17 acts will perform over three evenings, including Pippa, Annie Taylor, Nikra, Yara, Keshavara, and Spiral Drive. Musically, the program ranges from rock and indie to pop and electronic genres.
Doors open daily at 4 p.m. Children under 14 get in for free. Only cash is accepted on the festival grounds.
A three-day pass costs €45; single-day tickets start at €19 when purchased in advance.
