Around 150 animal and plant species become extinct every day. Displaced, lost, forgotten. The great disappearance surpasses anything we can imagine. Although we know that we are part of the more-than-human world, we often feel disconnected from it. Revue. On the Death of Species is an attempt to make this connection tangible. To this end, the big stage becomes a catwalk. Here, extinct species are given a grand entrance once again: from the dodo to the short-nosed coati to the hazel grouse. Appear, leave, disappear. And appear again. Slowly and quietly at first, then faster and louder, until the music takes over and the revue becomes a celebration. A shared reminder that we are all part of one big community - and that change is always possible.
