Rami Elhanan's 13-year-old daughter is killed by a suicide bomber in West Jerusalem. When the grieving father meets the Palestinian Bassam Aramin, a seemingly unlikely friendship develops between the two men. Neither of them yet knows what terrible event will bring them closer together: Bassam's young daughter is shot dead by an Israeli border policeman.
The film tells the story of Bassam and Rami's work in the non-governmental organization "The Parents Circle - Families Forum". This brings together over 800 Israeli and Palestinian members who have lost close relatives in the conflict. Bassam and Rami's commitment to dialog and reconciliation is soon put to the test once again when their teenage sons want to take a different path from their fathers.

The documentary "Until we talk" was completed in September 2023, shortly before the events of October 7, 2023 and their tragic consequences.
