The village of Lutenwile was first mentioned in the 11th century. It became part of the city of Fribourg in 1914. The "poor" village has an interesting, special history: through its parish relationship with Kappel, through the former pilgrimage site of St. Barbara, as a stop on the Höllentalbahn and location of villa colonies, as the residence of Lady Chatterley and the explorer Marie von Chauvin, as a spa, bathing and educational location (teacher training college). Distinctive points (Lindenmattenstraße, Ekkebertstraße, Alemannenstraße) will be visited and future development focuses around the current terminus Laßbergstraße and the extension of the tram line 1 will be presented. - Registration required.
