MUNDOLOGIA Seminar: Street Photography
Want to learn street photography from a pro? Then you’ve come to the right place. For Lutz Jäkel, the multi-award-winning laif photographer, street photography is one of the most exciting genres in photography. That’s because it tells the story of street life—unpredictable and unposed—and thus evokes emotions in a special way.
But street photography can also be done anywhere and anytime—it requires neither expensive equipment nor extensive knowledge; a compact camera or even a smartphone is enough. What’s much more important is patience and keen observation, a sharp eye, and the ability to spot subjects.
In this photography seminar, Lutz Jäkel will first give you an overview of street photography, showing you examples by famous photographers as well as many of his own photos. He’ll describe how he approaches these shots and tries to make himself as inconspicuous as possible—in other words, to keep a “low profile” while out and about. This will familiarize you with the exciting genre of street photography, allowing you to get started right away and take photos where the most diverse subjects are practically right there on the street.
