At the 2025 New Year’s Eve concert, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra surprised the audience with an unusual sound: After just a few measures, a rousing “band vibe” took hold, and the ensemble transformed into a sonically fascinating big band—playing Baroque instruments. This energetic side of the FBO is now the focus of a new program on Freiburg’s Münsterplatz. With music from various genres, sophisticated arrangements, and a palpable joy in performing, the evening promises top-notch entertainment, a great atmosphere, and is guaranteed to evoke that true summer feeling under the open sky. It might be hard to sit still—so feel free to get up and dance.

- For safety reasons, bringing your own seating is not permitted in the standing room area.
- Remaining tickets are available at the box office (in front of the entrance gate).
