Become more?! Attracting and retaining volunteers - good practice exchange

How can you get people excited about getting involved - and keep them involved in the long term? Our next networking meeting for committed people is dedicated to this question.

Two organizations from Freiburg will provide exciting insights into their practice: Stadtpiraten e.V. and the Greenpeace Group Freiburg will present their approaches to volunteer coordination in short keynote speeches. They will report on how they recruit, support and motivate new volunteers - and what experiences they have had, especially in the Freiburg context.

As an example of good practice, the Stadtpiraten will present how they and their full-time staff work effectively with volunteers and which (digital) tools they use to do so. The Greenpeace group has a large organization in the background, but is self-organized on a purely voluntary basis - smaller organizations can also learn from these structures!

Following the inputs, there will be space for exchange and networking: you can share your own experiences in small groups and develop new ideas based on impulse questions.

The event is aimed at anyone who is involved in or supports volunteering - and wants to learn from each other and cooperate. We look forward to an inspiring exchange!

With us:

Christian Grolms, contact person for new people at the Greenpeace Group Freiburg, which currently has around 25 active members

Johannes Nussbächer, Managing Director of Stadtpiraten Freiburg e.V. with 70-80 volunteers

This event takes place as part of the Climate Quarter Zähringen & Freiburg North and is primarily aimed at climate protection activists. However, all other fields of commitment are also cordially invited to this overarching topic!
