With each of my forest walks, a deep connection to the forest grew, so that the desire arose to translate this experience, depth and being touched into forest paintings. I would like to share my love of nature with you, paint it, make it tangible, make it perceptible. I am more interested in the atmosphere between the trees than in the realistic depiction of trees or the forest. Pigments are dissolved with a special binder in order to apply them to the canvas in a translucent, transparent or partially opaque manner. We will get to know different techniques, e.g. wet on wet, dabbing with a cloth, as well as different brush strokes and brush sizes. In a safe space, without judgment, more creativity and spontaneity can arise in the painting process. Material costs of €40 will be settled directly with the course instructor on site and include two self-made and primed canvases (60 x 60 cm and 60 x 50 cm), the required pigments and the special binder. Brushes will be provided if required. Additional canvases can be purchased on request.
